We’re asking you to walk a mile a day for MYST over 7 days – at your own pace, in your own time. You can do it by yourself, get your friends, kids, family involved – have fun and raise money for a worthy cause.
#MILESFORMYST – Step By Step
Throughout August we’re challenging you to walk 1 mile per day for 7 days – you can choose which days suit you best – use your phones, activity trackers to keep a record of your walking or walk for 20 mins per day which is roughly 1 mile!
Here’s how you can get involved!
Step 1 – Sign Up and Register – To register please call into the MYST Office to collect your sponsorship pack or email support@mymyst.co.uk to request an online copy which you can then download and print at home
Step 2 – Shout About It – We’ll be using the hashtag #milesforMYST across our social media platforms, please feel free to share your photos with us!
Step 3 – Track your progress – Use a step counter, fitness watch, your phone to keep track of your miles – if you don’t have those to hand; a mile is roughly a 20 min walk.
Step 4 – Collect Your Sponsorship – Once you’ve collected your donations please return your completed sponsorship form (in person or by email) and deposit your donation into our Paypal Account. (Please ensure you use your surname as the Ref) using – link here to donate direct via PayPal or the button below for our campaign page
Step 5 – Celebrate your success – You’ll receive a certificate to say Thank you for your contribution
What is MYST and why do they need my support?
MYST or Mersey Youth Support Trust is a local charity based in Kirkdale. We support people who face barriers to main stream employment and as a result decide to explore the concept of self employment and start their own business! We’re not your average business Centre; in fact our Kirkdale Hub is home to various businesses – carpenters, accountants, musicians to name a few!
Our support enables these people to become part of a community, create a brighter future for themselves and become financially independent. Funds will be used towards our courses, workshops and activities that take place within the Hub.
