Over the last few months we’ve been working with a group of students from the City of Liverpool College to create a new MYST Promo video. A huge thank you to everyone involved

The shoot took place on Friday 7th January with interviews being held with tenants and our new hub coordinator who shared his aims for MYST over the next 12 months.
What is MYST’s mission?
MYST works with people that face particular barriers to conventional employment. We help them take responsibility for their own future by exploring the possibility of self-employment. They are able to test their business idea and we enable them to ensure they have solid financial base to work from. We offer them their own individual office space and provide timely, relevant, and on-site or virtual mentoring.
What makes you unique among similar charities?
Besides our support, mentoring, workshops, training, and networking opportunities, we build a community environment where creative, like-minded people empower each other during the business cycle.
We also provide supportive guidance throughout the twists and turns of their self-employment journey in order to push our MYSTers to realise their ambitions.
Why are you expanding in Birkenhead?
The premises in Birkenhead will provide a fantastic opportunity to develop the MYST model in order to greatly improve the self-sustainability of the charity. There are other initiatives around Birkenhead and Wallasey that MYST will aim to partner with in order to contribute to an exciting regeneration.
What are your future plans?
As we hopefully move out of Covid restrictions, in the short to medium term, we will aim to re-animate our workshops, open days and other events to reach more stakeholders and promote our services to create an optimistic buzz in these uncertain times. In the longer term, we will look to take the experiences and lessons learned from our Kirkdale and Birkenhead hubs to other areas around the Liverpool City Region to build more MYST communities.
