Administration Assistant

Administration Assistant

Have you worked in an office environment? Do you have admin skills and experience? Are you
in your element when ensuring things are organised and running smoothly?

Put those skills to good use, support a local charity and apply for our role of Volunteer Admin
Assistant.

We are looking for volunteers who can help us with the day to day running and administration
at our centre

Main Duties
  • To complete general admin tasks including financial when required
  • To manage our booking/calendar system ensuring all appointments are kept updated
  • To assist in keeping our office and communal areas clean and tidy
  • To promote public understanding of the work we do and the importance of raising funds
Skills Required
  • Ability to operate as a team member
  • Positive ‘can do’ attitude
  • Experience of databases and CRM systems
  • Respect and understanding of the organisations policies
  • Willingness to participate in training in order to carry out the duties required for this role
  • Good customer service skills

Time Management

We are looking for a volunteer that can commit to at least 4 hours per week. We can be flexible
in terms of what day(s) these will be.

Digital Buddy

Do you have a good all-round knowledge of computers and the enthusiasm to help others gain the skills they need? Do you want to gain experience in supporting others within the voluntary sector?

We are looking for a number of volunteers to help with the running of our ‘learn my way’ digital suite, become digital buddies and help bridge the gap between getting started and becoming a confident user.

Main Duties
  • Undertake the learn my way training to become a digital champion
  • Help people to register for the ‘learn my way’ platform online
  • Be on hand to offer support and encouragement to those completing short courses
  • Oversee the smooth running of each session
  • Ensure the suite is kept clean and tidy with any issues reported to staff in a timely manner
Skills Required
  • Be friendly and approachable
  • Be good at explaining instructions to people who are learning something new
  • Confidence to work with people from a wide variety of backgrounds
  • Be able to encourage and motivate others
  • Be passionate about all things digital and the benefits it can provide
Time Management

We are looking for a volunteer that can commit to at least 2 hours per week. Our digital suite is a new initiative. There will be set days/times that our suite will be open, these can be worked around our volunteers.

Events Assistant

Do you enjoy socialising and meeting new people? Are you organised and work well as part of a team? Do you want to gain experience of working in the voluntary sector and support a local charity?

We are looking for a number of volunteers to help us ensure our events and activities run smoothly!

Main Duties
  • Helping to set up for events and activities, these may be in the hub or at outreach events
  • Serving refreshments and replenishing when needed
  • Meeting and greeting to ensure each person receives a warm welcome
  • Assisting with activities
  • Providing support to young people (if needed)
  • Assisting with the cleaning/tidying at the end of events
Skills Required
  • Friendly and enthusiastic with a positive attitude
  • Well organised and keen to get stuck in
  • Happy to work as part of a team
  • Experience of working with young people is desirable
Time Management

We are looking for a volunteer that can commit to 3 hours per month. We run various events throughout the year and will provide a calendar so volunteers can confirm availability in advance.

Social Media Assistant

Are you confident using Facebook, Instagram, Tik Tok and other social media platforms? Keen to use your experience and skills to support a youth focused charity?

If so we need your help to raise the profile of MYST across the Liverpool City Region.

We are looking for a volunteer who has good knowledge of social media and a creative eye to help us with the running of our social media platforms.

Main Duties
  • Research & create engaging content for our social media channels
  • Take high quality images and videos at our events
  • Identify best practices to engage with our target audience, reply to comments in a timely manner
  • Support and liaise with our team to feedback progress, recommendations and best practice
Skills Required
  • Good written ability and communication skills
  • Interest in photography with a keen eye for detail
  • Experience of using Canva is desirable
  • Motivated, enthusiastic and a positive attitude
  • Knowledge of marketing and PR is desirable
Time Management

We are looking for a volunteer that can commit to at least 4 hours per week. We can be flexible in terms of what day(s) these will be, most of this time could be spent remotely posting content and replying to messages via social media.
