About Us

The Mersey Youth Support Trust (MYST) is a charitable organisation that empowers young and disadvantaged people to start and build a business by providing bespoke business advice, affordable workspaces, funding opportunities, contacts and networking.

MYST was established following the success of the London Youth Support Trust and thanks to support from the Rank Foundation we have been able to help many young people from across Merseyside.

We have an excellent track record in backing strong leaders and in this, MYST will join Rank’s extensive network across the UK, a network comprised of outstanding organisations addressing a broad range of social needs”.

We are based in the former St. Lawrence School building, Westminster Road, Kirkdale, were we currently have a total of 27 offices ready to be let out to any budding young entrepreneurs. The process begins with MYST conducting a full audit of your business idea, with help to develop the business plan as well as support in the procurement of possible start-up funding. For those that successfully complete this phase, MYST will offer you their own workshop/office space, for a low monthly fee, with the unique advantage that you will receive timely, relevant and on-site advice supported by the Centre Manager and other external agencies.

The advancement in life of young people by providing support and activities which develop their skills and capabilities to enable them to participate in society as mature and responsible individuals. We focus, in particular, on the provision of education, financial assistance, technical assistance or business advice/consultancy for people in cases of financial or other charitable need and help in setting up their own business.
